Is it Spring or Summer ?

Here the weather is mostly cloudy, with an occasional sunny period. 
We do have a lot of dandilions, however. . . . and that is usually the
sign of summer's start.  So, I set out the 4 inch plants of Pole beans
and the next week, most of the plants were only a few inches long.

After checking, I found that the plants looked like they had been cut
or broken.  And after a longer time, I saw our little almost 1 year old
dog, eating a leaf that was a bush bean leaf.  Ann had fed Baby Snooks
String beans... and she loved them- ,now she just eats the plants and
does not wait for the beans to grow.

I would hate to do something to the puppy, but, she is walking on
only three legs.  She many times holds her right rear leg off the
ground.  Last week, while on a walk with her "new " Mom, she
got under foot at a road crossing on the Walk way, and got walked
on.  She cried a couple of times, but then appeared O K.  Yet, she
has not done her 3 legged walk before that time.  Perhaps the foot
has a sprain or hair line crack, that hurts when she gets tired.  She
can run on the grass as if she is perfectly ok,  it is just when she is
tired, that she lifts her right rear foot off the ground.  I wonder if
Medicare will cover the Dr's bill? (Vet)

Also, we tried a new Puppy groomer, near our home, and they
did not do as good a job, as the earlier firms.  Perhaps they let
Baby snooks fall off the table.. they have some students in their
firm, and train others to groom dogs and cats.

Baby is 2 year old on 8 May....  What do you think we should do?

This is a great ride

Sometimes it is bettr not to comment. Our American Government
seems to be unable to get anyjob completed right, other than
that of using force in the wrong places... although I am not
a fan of our Current President, and also not of his party, I
do pray to GOD that our President gets help in doing his best
to help the Americn People.

It seems that our president is not desireous of GODs help, but
rather, has an adgenda that is fixed and unchangeable. It is
almost that someone else is setting the boundaries, and the
scipt is supplied to our President.

Years ago, It seems to me that there was a motion picture of a
robot, that was so good that everyone thought the robot was
human. In that Picture, the fake person caused a lot of grief
and pain for the followers.

It seems that no one is following our President. When he has
good ideas, the Congress seems not to understand or see his
point. In fact, Congress looks as if Congress is the third
power, and cares only for it's perpetuation as that third
part of Gevernment.

The framers of our country wanted a Congress, a Judiciary,
and an administration as check and balance so that we, the
people would get a fair, intelegent shot at being our own
course makers..and not mere followers whom had to do the will
of the Congress, or of the President, or of the Courts.

We started as Wigs and Democrats... then Republicans and
Democrats. These two parties represented us - the people.

Now, the two parties do not represent anything except their
own greed and selfishness. It seems that each person likes
what they get, and wants more and more of it. There seems
to be little concern for us, whom have to pay for their jobs
and their selfish programs. What a sad thing that is.

It is not what I think of, when I think of Democratcy.. but
perhaps a step away from the Master /servant form which was
under the Kings of history.

Government in the United States seems to be a repressive, and
unconcerned group, uncarring of what loads each of us have as
citizens. It is this take and then take more, that has been
the problem from the early days, when part of the country had
other folks working for them, amost as if those whom had the
power, owned the workers. Did we not have a war to correct
that false premise?

Now those others seem to be the Unions, whom are in league with
those whom are powerful in our governmant; while we, the folks
whom support them, have little input and less of a chance to
complain about the uneven burdens.

On balance, there are those, whom just do not care...whom go
through life doing what they want to do, and taking smaller
slice of life, and keeping a low profile... Some of them are
crooks, or have life styles that are not in harmony with the
main population of citizens. those folks are not the leaders
and have little concern with what our city, State or Country
leaders do or what they say. Many of these folks do not work
not want to work.. they do want the perks that they can get,
such as the free programs, the free money, or... And they
also, take, by force or stealth, from those whom do work hard
the savings that have been acquired, and saved.

The main victims are the Old, or those whom should be helped
due to weakness, or other infirmaty. These folks have not a
way to complain, other than the Police or civil authority, and
are many times not restored when they suffer loss. Even
their complaints are not fully addressed by some of the folks
we put in power to safeguard our communities.

And, these folks whom have been robbed, or beaten and
pushed around, have not much hope of recovery or
restitution.

Our main problem of Government, is, it is not what was
intended, and what it was when first set up. It has
fallen down and failed in many areas, aided by frivolus
Law suits, etc...

When GOD set up this Promised Lland, the Americas, it
was for the sake of each person, not a collective... And
every one could earn or save all that he could create.

It was perfect, and I would think, a copy of that which
GOD used in his Kingdom,.

We should accept GOD and HIS SON, JESUS CHIRST
as having something to do with our system of ruling
Constitution,- If we follow the precepts that are found
in HIS holy work, we can be assured of happyness and
peace. That is what we had - but have lost.

Then too, if we accept what we learn from HIS plan, the
Earth was created for a Test of Man, to see if man would
live according to GOD' s plan and Obey HIM. Those whom
do, will have Eternal Life..those whom do not.....well...\

Global warming Yep, GOD Planed for it. Wasting away of the
freedoms by the liberals yep - This was foretold in the King
James Bible.

Perhaps we should just go about living, and not worry so much.
Those of us whom voted for THE SAVIOR'S PLAN, before the Earth
was formed, should know that all is well. Hardships, yes=
but we must remember that this is a Test for each of us, and
if we do what we know to be right, we have nothing to fear.

We all leave the earth to go to our home, again, so why worry
as the cartoon says, - We are to live a good life, and be
kind and helpfull to everyone we see, of those whom call us
for help...

Remember, the conflict is between the Advisary and the SAVIOR
and the SAVIOR will win. Let us stay on the correct side.

Google vs Yahoo

Hey, is it me? or is it the fight between the two search
engines?

Recently both engines would not accept my pass word. So, I
recreated them. Did that get me in? NO. Even when I put
in the secret answers... and then, magically, I was in, but
am still having problems getting onto my programs, as they
were for years.

And, facebook was a disaster. There were options that I did
not like,but to use the system, I would have to accept them,
so, I discontinued my facebook.... and Ann has discontinued
her facebook also.

then on top of that, the progams would not accept my Picasa
program, ...but in all fairness, it is prossible that my old
age has caused me to forget the way to prosses the pictures
from Picasa to this blogg.

My only hope is that Paige will teach me again, and I will
then put pictures on this blogg.

Just in time for the roudy crowd that is having the live in
in just about every city and state in this country, and with
violence in other countries of the world.

It seems to me that I heard somewhere that when we had the
type of President we have now, that the time was right for
the country to have a type of anarcy.... And, that would
be a time when the food stored by our Church, would come in
handy. All of this was to come just as JESUS CHRIST was
to return to rescue us. I remember that as a child, I heard
that the continents were to be returned the only one land
mass and that the 10 lost tribes were to return via a land
bridge, and take up occupancy of the eastern part of the
U.S. American county-- which would have becoe totally vacant.

I was taught that Good comes from GOD, and anything other
comes from the advisary. I was taught that we need have no
concern for when we folllow the council of those JESUS
CHRIST has put over us, in the leadership of HIS Church, we
will be protected... Are these the tough times? Is the
comming of the Savior close at hand? Perhaps, but what a
fantastic time to be on the Earth -- -Imagine, what it will
be like. How great!

Well, there are my thoughts. What are yours? Are we ready?
Do we have time to experiment - NO. We should be ready with
our harmony with the parable of the 10 virgins. All seemed
worthy, but one half did not prepare for the bridegroom. In
this parable, one thinks that it represents those whom should
be ready, but procrastinated until it was to late to prepare.

For those whom read this, Do what you know to be right. If any-
thing has been left for later, - this is later, so no delay-
set everything right. You know what to do! Do it.

I think that facebook is too invasive for me.
I'm not wanting to put all my life on the tube.
Iwant to be a bit laid back, so I quit the program.

Has 2011 given up on Summer?

Well, days are getting shorter and the Flag is put out later,
and taken in earlier.... So it seems to me that the daylight
is of shorter use. Or, perhaps the changes are from unusual
natural occurances.. but then if we check Google by putting
in, Earthquakes, or Volcanic Eruptions, or Tital Waves, the
result would be several pages of dates and places... Maybe we
just have not paid attention.

It is said that a earthen bridge existed between china and
out country... or that there was land bridge between Eroupe
and North America. If there was, it was before I can recall.

My thoughts are, that the two were one land mass, and that
the land was divided all over the Earth. the fragments seem
to fit together, if you take a flat map, and cut them out and
put them together. In the Bible, the creation of the earth is
given 2nd hand, and it could have been only one land mass, and
water was around it. Then too, it is suggested by scientists
that the water was in the heavens...until it rained after Noah
built the Arc..... Well, - that was then,and this is now.

My goal is to live to be 100. My wife says she wants no part
of being that old. I want to let her know that she willonly be
95 then... but she tunes me out.

If I get my wish, then I would be here to see my GreatGreat
Grandkids... The great grandkids now would be parents, with a
possibility of having 5 generations here at the same time.

It blows me away when I think that from the two of us, we now
number over 36 births... and then when we count the spouces
that is 22 more for a total of 58, with several weddings that
are planned in the near future..... Now when we add Ann and I
the total is 60...

Maybe the title of this tome, should have been, not of summer
but of ourselves, and what we do with all of our leasure time.
Perhaps we are in the winter of our lives.

One highlight of my life this past year was when Laura took
Mom and I to see the gardens of others...and She reaffirmed
my desire to relearn, and to learn all about growing foods
and making the earth both beautiful and productive. If time
permits, I want to be a part of that goal - to make the area
more beautiful and productive.

Well, enough of that, will you all check out Bill O'Riely's
factor, the #1 tv show on the tube today.....if you don't
like him, be silent-- if you do, let's talk.

Nansemond ?

Hi, for some time, I have been searching for my Grandmother's
family. Grandmother's Father was Robert Steel, whom married her
Mother on Christmas, and was gone within perhaps, a month of
that day. I know his grandparents Steel, but was searching for
his Mother's family.

Grandmother said her grandmother, Julia Ann Bass, was an Indian
Princess, with long beautiful Black hair. At least that was all
I had, until finding her birth in Missouri, in Perche township,
Boone County. (1840: Then after some checking and many years
I found her parents were, Eli Bass and his wife, Lucy Bass, and
both were born in Virginia. Eli in 1775, and Lucy in 1810.

I asked myself, could this be so? Was Lucy really the daughter
of Eli, the ages would be ok if that was so... And then, if not,
why did the two of them have the same last name before marriage?

Then recently, someone told me about the Nansemond Indians of
Virginia, whom are Indians, but have the US Court's verdict that
they are not Black, nor white, but free citizens in the country.

I sent a letter to the Chief .. whose last name is Bass. I
learned that Bass is the Tribal Name. Almost all the members
of the Tribe are free white, and not on anty census records...
and the name came from Basse or a similar French name. That
family had boys that married Indian girls, and somehow all of
the descendents have the Bass name.

Interesting, in that John Adams had a good friend named John
Bass. So, if any of you have info that can shed light on
this search... let me knopw. AND, if or when Chief Bass or
others of the Nansemond responds to my letter, I will post
another disertation (did I spell that right?) informing
all of the results.

Because of the time and energy involved in the last 50+
years of my search I have looked at so many of the records
that I think I will have a party when I learn of the truth.

By the way, I am in contact with the 2nd family of Robert
Steel. They spell the name Steele now. They mostly live in
Colorado, or "Utah". More of this most interesting saga....

what's up, now

Everyone is mouthing the taking out of Bin-Lauden, yet,
that was just one person whom made wrong choices.
The 10 commandments in the Bible do not show which other
than To Love GOD, as bding the most important, so I guess
they are in order of importance to us.

If one looks at the 10 Commandments found in Exodus, at the
20th chapter of Exodus, we see that the first 7 concern the
Reverence and Obedience to God and His Name, and followers.
And The next concern God's Sabbath Day.

Then the we are told to Honor our Father and Mother.

After all this, then we find the actions;
thou shall not kill.
thou shall not be adulterous. (be unfaithful)
thou shall not steal. (take from others)
thou shall not bear false wittness. (Lie)
thou shall not covet. (desire anothers,possessions,status, etc.)

Somehow the taking out of a person whom does bad things is just
and correct. To boast of it, perhaps not so correct.

Especially at a time, when we are nationally insolvent,not united,
and hated by covetous others whom by some desire us dead.

If we but do what GOD has told us to do,(and not do) we will be
safe, and secure. Is it not what we want, to go about our lives
without fear, insecurity, and doubt? YES, we should always be
true to our knowledge of why we are here, and where we are going.

We, (MY FAMILY MEMBERS) should alwasy be the leaders in doing our
best to radiate the positive, and the purient values our FATHER
in Heaven has given us as goals, and ways of life... sorry to
give a religious speach, but this is what is needed at this time.

We must be the BEST we can be, and radiate our Goodness, as we
have it within our minds and life.

GOD loves us, each one. GOD will help us, each one. And for us
to qualify, we must love and help others, each one.

Until later, I, Grandad, have lots of Love for everyone....

Mother's Day

Wow, My wife celebrated the day with telephone contact whit
all seven of our children. Ann has been an incentive to be
a good as I can be... for I want to be with her always and
forever.

When we are attempting to do all that is expected of us by
Our FATHER, and repenting of the mistakes we make, both in
error, and by weakness, then we have the intercession of our
Brother, and Lord. The word Attondment (hope I spelled it
right) will explain what I mean.

For those whom still have a question, I believe that Joseph
Smith did and saw, what he claims and that the reference to
him in the bible, when God spoke to Joseph whom was sold by
his brothers into Eygpt, was told that another, Joseph the
son of Joseph, would be raised up inthe latter days to lead
the people of God, did see Joseph Smith Jr. in his vision.

I am greatful that seven generations back, Johannes left his
homw in Haefelfingen, Baselland, Switzerland, as a pallatine
refugee, and came to the colonies and to Delaware and freedom
of religion. At that time he was Lutheran, and joined the
Holy Trlinity or "Old Swedes Church" in Willmington Delaware.

Also that three geneations later, John and 4 of his brothers
joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints. From
that time to this, the Nebeker's have been in the Lord's true
church. It teaches us that we each have the right to our
own actions, and it is by our choices that we are blessed, or
caused not to be blessed. In other words, we have free agency.

Picture of our Partial Family

Today I put a picture of our family on the blogg. It is that what our FATHER

in Heaven has sent us. - 51 years ago this comming 23rd of July, then, there

were only 2 of us.... now look... and now Hannah, and Charlie whom are not

pictured, and we have another expected within the next 10 months..

Although the Nation's conditions seem to be falling apart, we have been told

that if we are true and faithful to what we know to be the right way to live, all

will be well and our lives will be good. One of these ways is also a scout saying

- "do a good turn daily." We can share our good fortune with others, whom

need our help. Of course, there are those whom would take advantage of our

willingness to be generous, we need to be circumspect in our helping hands.

There is a need, and we can see it easily, if we but look.

This word is founded on the family. It is the unit of life most valued - this

central idea is in every area, country, and nation. And the individual conduct

must be that of virtusness. We must be true to the ideals that we believe,

100%.! Our thoughts must be correct, and all of our deeds, in harmony.

Perhaps this is a part of Love for one another... for Love is greater than just

mere virtue. To be full of Concern and Love for all others is what our Savior

told us we should do. HE said that our number one activity, we remember -

"Love one another as if the other as if yourself." To do this you must respect

yourself, and love your life. For, if you do not love yourself, you can not love

another. In the family we learn what true love is. We learn by doing, and by

sacraficing, and by correcting ourselves when a wrong choice is righted.

These are the basics that JESUS taught, and lived when he was in the world.

Can these principles, taught by the SAVIOR be lived today, - YES, they can.
Even if the government is distroyed, and other conditions come to us. After

all, in the Bible and Book of Mormon (a second text for Jesus Christ) we read

of ancesters whom lived without their governments, sometimes without their

own country, sometimes as slaves, and sometimes, as now, great conditions.

Today, if we are true to our own teachings we should fear none of comming

changes in the world.

These changes have been written in various writtings... One that I prsonally

like is a book published in December 1939 (the year my wife was born) then

with additional ideas in 1949 and 1988. It was written by a Religion Teacher

with Devine assistance, his name is W.Cleon Skousen. Printed by Ensign

Publishing, it's title, Prophecy and modern Times. The book will give you

peace and hope. It will also stir you to want to live better, + more righteously.

If you do not agree, it will make your life a bit better.

And, For those whom check this Blogg.. I really don't think I"m the know all

and see all - but from the aspect of the time Iv'e been here, I've a persective

view of life. I,m not fearful of leaving, but want to live to be 100 years, before

leaving. Lots of Love for each and everyone.....Granddad

Good to be alive -

Some minister said that when we are all in Heaven, and we are discussing
what we did and when we did it, all will become very guiet when we say
we were here in the last days... Now, are these the last days? Is this
the beginning of the wrap up? Will the conditions be in harmony with the
book of revelations in the Bable, or not....that is the question...

For me, I believe we are in the last days of the earth as we know it.
I think that the changes and frequency of the changes are excellerating
rapidly. Does that mean I think that we will not have time to teach
our children, or to complete the tasks we are doing? No We will have
time to finish some of what we are doing. For now,I have put a frame-
work in our back yard so we can have veg'y growing there. I'm putting
pole beans in the flower bed, and have built a wooden box to put dirt,
seed,potting soil and steer food in - - so we can have lettus, cukes,
and other root foods. If the $ is declining, I think we should have a
sorce of food. and I am certain that you would agree.

We have been told to have our 2 year supply of food stored - not it is
one year. And we are to have a 72 hour kit at hand.... good advice. So,
lets do it...

In washington last year we voted down the private seeling of Beer and
spirits. Now we read in the newspapers that the State is going to
privatize that feature. Although I don't use those items, others do,
and if our governmant will not folow the will of the folks in the state,
what hope is there for expectaion that we have put leaders in whom will
make our lives easier, or a bit more fun? Today I wrote a infrequent
letter to the editor about this problem of out leaders doing what ever
they want without any thought of you and I.

Now is the time for each of us to live our life as we believe. If some-
one crossed us up, forget it, we have better things to do than be angry-
- - just chock it up to "his" experience, or "her" experience and drop
it out of your mind.. there are better uses of the energy. And then too,
He or She is our brother or sister.

As my Dad uesd to say, - just go on, forget it. Life is too short.
I even have gotten to forgive the mistakes that family make, and hope
that I don't make them too.

I believe that God is my FATHER and that we are all one family, the
family of Adam given to him by God. So I pray to Him, and thank Him
for His Son, Jesus Christ - for if He was God's son, (and I believe
He was) then we need his intercession with FATHER for us to progress.
Then if you do not beieve, then pray according to what you believe.

This is a great time to be alive.
It is well worth it, no matter how hard or long.

the ? (Last) days

Today we learn that we are additionally at war with Gadaffy. And the
Japanese Earthquake is still fresh in our minds. We are out of money -
yet the government does not seem to be aware that we are broke...
all that need to happen is that other countries discontinue to honor
our paper money, and we are like England was which is that we can not
borrow from anyone anymore. Perhaps we are in the last days, as was
written the Bible. There are some saying that revelation is just an
old man's ramblings. For me, I think we are in those last days, and
I do believe in the Bible.

Yet, I also believe that if we do what we know to be true and right,
we have no need to be afraid. We will be OK. For me, ther is a GOD,
and HE has a SON, whom we call JESUS CHRIST. To follow the teachings
of those over us in the church give us, will give us the most peace,
the most comfort, the most rest. To do otherwise is to be as
"Chicken Little," running and shouting "the sky is falling."

I personally believe that we will return to our FATHER in Heaven,
and be eternal in form, and will have those of our loved ones -with
us... we will, of course, have to suffer what is needful to repent
from our earthly mistakes, if the repentance we have done isn't
enough, but that will be small price for the eternities we will have
before us. And if we can be like JESUS, and if HE asks us to do that,
then it is attainable, then we are able to do just that !

With this last in view, you and I can witness the events with more
detachment, and less stress. We can have more peace. We can go on
with our lives and do what we know we should do. Also, we are all
the sons and daughters of GOD. HE is our FATHER.

One a brighter note, this too will pass. The snow will melt, and
the Sun will come out. The warm wind will blow, and we will visit
with one another and can be happy. I feel that this will happen,
yet know that we should be busy helping and caring for one another.

On a very happy and wonderful note, I was glad to see another sole,
a great grandson come into the world. What a wonderful thing it
is to become a parent; to see a new soul enter this world; to be
able to see what creation means. All my wishes for peace and for
comfort go out to the new parents. I love my family. I love all
whom I know and will know. Some sadness comes but can be delt with
and put behind each of us.

We have so much to learn, and to experience, and to do. Let us do
it with gladness, and compassion, and love.

Todays outlook

Today we seem to face even greater trials in life. Our government is getting more and more intrusive in all areas of life. Each of us have a certain ability to chose where, when, and what we will do...which seems to become a smaaler choice in terms of our opportunities which timely, pass.

In my childhood, everyone seemed to respect the older folks. -- Not so today, many have the attitude that the old folks have no idea what life is all about. It would seem that those we have put in government (to make our lives easier,) have converted our expectations of trust to one of their own. One of greed and pleasures, for themselves,only. Those in power want to perpetuate themselves and work for their own wealth, which seems to segway in their minds toward their beliief that they knpw more, and can better guide us, and thus they exert effort to sustain themselves in the job, and thus become the more controlling and "weathy."

They seem to want to "help us" from the moment in time we are born until the moment we take our last breath. Contrlol of all life is the goal, it would seem. Perhaps they each do not think in these terms - perhaps they relly think that they know best, better in fact than we know. And that their ideas and ways are so much better that by setting goals, and limits, we will not have to think just accept, without input. This loses our power to act, for ourselves, and makes us robots or slaves. Life is ours not that of outhers.

I truly believe we are going into a time when each of us must be more self reliant, with reserves if we have them, set up to sustain us when the controls that are being put in place, prevent any indepent action.

In the past few weeks, the controll over food and other sundaries, has become the provence of Government. Using the supposition that there was a need to prevent impurities and other addities in food, and to protect the consumer, those in govenment have begun to use control over the production and supply of some foods, and they eye all food and drugs.

There has always been a distrust of too much government. This distrust has not abated, but by cleaver use of words, and regulations, we seem to be led (some of us blindfolded) down the garden path into becoming robots or servants. Life was not meant to be such. We each are in our own right, independent, intellegent (opps- some of you may questuion the 'Intellegent') people.

Great People

When I was born, another good friend was also born. I met him when I was a part of the Army in the Korean times....That was great, but we both married our wives on the same day, (23 July 1960) His wife is named Anne, my wife is Ann. We both were blessed with 7 children- there the duplication is a bit off, as the girl/boy numbers are different.... We have corresponded from time to time, and my friend came to our Washington home for a visit in the late 70's or early 80's.

Now we both celebrated our 50th wedding anniverary. Now that we are getting more mature, I for one will redeadicate myself to keeping our frendship. I guess I was not so dillegent in the past. I repent of that error. Recently, My friend sent me three pictures of his fun filled celebration, and I counted about 50 or so on one. That is about the number of our family, too. And both families are growing.

When GOD blesses us, we should be thankfull, and pass the blessing on... We, Ann and I, intend to volunteer at the Skagitt Valley Hospital as helpers in this next year. Also, I want to see if the Sheriff can use my services also... after all, we are all in this same boat.. called Earth. It may not seem fun at times, but our FATHER has given us his word that our time will have been well spent.

If you have a great friend, do as I intend - spend time with the fostering of the friendship . . don't let it fade. I almost did, and I would have been sorry at some time to come.

Have you noticed that we as a nation have begun to forget why we are here, and where
we are going (and what we are suppossed to do) - all to our error and loss. Let us pledge
to be more spiritual, and trusting in GOD, and HIS SON, JESUS CHRIST, our Savior.

2010 snow

It began in the night. First a few white flakes, and then it resembled rain, except that it was little white specks. At first the specks turned to water,
and then after a bit, the white began to thicken on the ground. Now, everything is white, and we have about 1/4 inch covering most of
the area .

What a miracle, we have steam to harness, then liquid to drink, and slush (if clean) to eat, and finally, we have drifts to stop us from travel, or bury us where we are. In past times, the later (being buried) could cause us to depart the earth, but seldon now, except in remote areas, or when we are not prepared. Then too, our bodies contain a high percentage of water in our fisical makeup.

Well this year is going out like a bang. We just got the Skousen Book that the
President of the Church asked Cleon to delay in publishing back in the 1990's.
Cleon was a Religion Teacher at BYU when I was there in the 1950's. He gave us

I learned by google that Glenn Beck was very taken by Cleon and his work.
and is using Cleon's thinking as a basis for his presentations.

Did you know that Cleon was an FBI agent? And he was so well educated that
he was part of the group that was our "thinktank" in the earlier years of
this country - until he got fed up with the people whom were getting into the
public feeding bin, and sticking there like a burr on the back of our people
then he was not so welcome, and he was attacked by many - until he went
back to Utah and Taught, and wrote books. His thinking is still considered the
leading light for future civilization. I Suggest each of you go get his book at
the LSD Book Store. Fork out the $20 (or so)and read it.

We are safe if we do what is right, and follow the instructions that our
Savior set forth for us. This country will come out right - and we can too.

Fox news in my mind is the straight shooting avenue for us to get the truth.
Is the very rich man, the antichrist? don't know but suspect it.

Back to Beck, he called it when a week ago he suggested that the food costs
would go up and that is the way the government will use to devaluate the
dollar.... Get your 1 year or 2 year storage as soon as possible....that is
a must. Get out of debt if you can. Live more in line with Church teachings
if you are not there already. And, turn on channel FOX News.if you can see
what is comming, your fear is partly gone.

These ARE the last days and we have the rear privelege to see what happenz
and some of us will live through it- What a great time to be on the earth.

Wow

Looking back over the last 50 years of marriage gives me a feeling that
GOD has blessed me very greatly. First HE put me near Her, and then HE
let me know what heaven could be if She was with me. Ann keeps me in my
place, and helps me to live a better life. Then we added another seven
to our family...Wow, And each new life, added depth and strength to our
living. To each of my strong children, I will ever be indebted. They
are each endowed with qualities that make them so wonderful and great.

Now we find ourselves very busy just in keeping up with them. Most of
our almost 30 grandchildren are close by, and the widening sphere of our
family now covers the northern half of the United States from Washington
to the great lakes. One,was in the south west,but is now with us in our
north west.

Life is great. And we have the thought that we will have another great
grandchild before the year is out,to add to the 5 boys that are ours.

I never in my wildest dreams thought we would be the progeniters of 50
plus individuals. And that is why I say WOW...

Now, today with the prospect of our country going through a Tramatic time
we are happy that our kids are well grounded on being helpful and kind.

We have 12 Eagles and 1 3rd degree black belt...shich accounts for the oldest
13 boys.... and then the Girls are quite as well prepared and qualified to
lead great lives. The thought that even our two oldest daughters will be
finished with college degrees soon, leads us to believe we had help from the
heavens to accomplish such a wonderful life.

And, we have had a great circle of friends both in our Church and in our
neigborhoood areas... too add to the families we grew up in, wow, what a
ride we are having here on this earth..... I truly hope that you too can
look at what you are doing and what and whom you have, that you have the same
good feeling.. We love all of you, and that is the key.

So long for another 3 months.....

24 MORE DAYS

Human nature being what it is, a person expects to live forever.
And to be married for a long time. My goal is to reach 100 years
old, and to be married at that time with a super wife still living.

In 25 days the milestone, "50th Anniversary" will be reached.
And, 8 days later, the completion of 3/4 of 100 years will be realized.

I believe I earned this, "right" when I was in the "herebefore",
with God, according to the book of Genesis in the Bible.

(if there was a heareafter, then I think the word herebefore is
appropriate.)

When these two milestones are passed, then I should set new ones.

Gorden B Hinkely's advice is to live life to the fullest, having fun and
enjoyment. We are to laugh a lot, and help others to enjoy their lot too.

To dispute the words of others, or to put our spin on the words and
actions of others, is not correct, and should be avoided. It is enough
just to live our own lives and not want to live other's lives too.

My Grandfather Gates used to say, lets be content to be ourself,
and let others be their own self. We must answere to our Father for
our own ideas thought, words and actions, not those of others.

We are not judged by anyone else just our onselves.

Where did April go? Seems like we just got over Christmas. they, you know what they
say, when you are having fun, the times slips away quickly.(who are "they," ?)
Getting serious, we had a great time in California, even if you spend more time getting there than the time when you get there. There was no rain, but that would
be better than all the time spent on the "freeways". It was great to spend a bit of
time with my little brother, whom towers over me. And, to get to know my little sister and Doug. We liked Disney Land too. Mom would not go on the roller coaster, and if I am truth full, I did not want to go on it either. We should have gone on the
Souring over California a 2ND time. We did go on "Its a small world, after all." And
we did notice the political slant to things. In the Mr. Lincoln after the movie as
we came out there was a poster of our President, O. And at the last part of It's a Small World, there was a picture of Kennedy, and another picture of our President,O.

May is baby's birth. June is time for Doctor's procedures. July is our 50Th wedding celebration , followed by a granddaughter's wedding. Aug I get to be 76. September
Ann and I get to go somewhere,,, Oct is Halloween. November is Baby time again, and
thanksgiving, and seeing Christmas decked out early, But, more important is the
birthday and family events that make this life worthwhile. You Know, we get to learn as children, then get to do as parents, and then evaluate what we did as grandparents
and if we are lucky, we can evaluate the lessons of our children, as we see what their teaching resulted in. If we did it right, and all the Savior's instructions
are followed, then we can rest easy, and know that we (our family) are safe in GOD'S
Love. So, love one another, and be kind to all you see, or know.

A good friend of mine received a new total knee. During the surgery, it was thought
a heart attack had occurred... so all the bells and whistles were not given, and only
now is my friend able to get therapy. My friend's spouse suggested getting up and walking around...only to be met with, I did...which is stretching the truth beyond
any one's evaluation. If my friend sees this post, please, be honest.. get up out
of bed, and get walking, and doing what the therapist has taught you. And, remember,
you have another knee to replace, so quit being silly- or is that, "being a baby."

Well, the weather seems to be good enough for me to pull some weeds, that have been
encroaching on our property, dandelion's, and such.....so off I go, until next

that will help us, and not damage our world...
